Brand new to Android and since the phone's not out yet.... Itchin' to play, though.
Same here ... the Fascinate will be my first Android phone. However, I've been making a list of apps I want to try as soon as I get my hands on it. Here are a few of the top ones I want to try:
Tasker (or one of its competitors). Looks like a really powerful way to manage the phone's various functions and maximize battery life.
Kindle. I have a Kindle device, and I'm really looking forward to the ability to read my books on the phone when I'm standing in line at the grocery store or whatever.
doubleTwist. Not sure whether I'll really need this one or not, but it looks like a great way to manage music and podcasts and play them on the phone. If the stock audio player doesn't cut it, I think this will be the one I try.
Angry Birds (beta coming out tomorrow). My brother showed me this game on his iPhone, and I'm glad the Android version will be available in time for me to put it on my Fascinate! Looks like a great way to waste time.
launcherpro definitely
need for speed ( already installed but awesome with that gpu)
psx4droid
angry birds ofc
This too will be me and my wife's first Android device but as others have stated I have been keeping an eye out for possible "Must Have" apps. I know Kindle will be a must have for my wife as she loves to read. Fortunatly the phone comes pre-installed with this app so this is a good thing. I have also been looking for an app that would allow me to store all of my store "Loyalty" or "MVP" type cards on my phone to reduce the number of cards I have to carrier in my wallet (that number is currently around 10 or so). I have found an app called Key Ring which appears as though it will solve this problem. Looking forward to trying it out soon! I'm also looking forward to using the Google Maps, Navigation and Voice Search apps. I have tinkered with these on my friends Droid devices and really like the features they offer!
Update:
- Bible
- Key Ring
- App Brain
- Google Maps/Nav
- GrooveShark
- Dropbox
- Faceboook
- Weatherbug
- Barcode Scanner
- ScoreMobile

I'll be downloading DejaOffice to go with CompanionLink on my desktop. I like having my business & personal calendars/contacts together on my smartphone while not having to put my personal stuff on my work PC. My office currently runs Novell GroupWise (yuck!) and will at some point be migrating to Outlook so we can join the rest of the world. I've been unsuccessful at exporting my GW calendar to Google calendar (something somewhere keeps corrupting the exported iCal file). CompanionLink has been the only thing I've found that can handle multiple smartphone OS's and email clients. Not ideal and an extra expensebut it works.
Deff need setcpu when root access it available
My must have apps for my fascinate are:
