    Android Market update

    The Market app has been updated and will be rolling out over the next couple of weeks. Functionality is the same as before; just an updated interface. Those who don't want to wait can get the .apk from a forum thread at XDA (link is in the article):

    The biggest difference is that refunds are now only valid for 15 minutes (not 24 hours) after app purchase.

    This stinks. I really appreciate the 24 hour refund policy of the app store and have used it several times when I tried something out that did not work as I wanted. I will now have to think twice before actually purchasing a paid app knowing that I only have 15 mins to evaluate.

    I'm with you, Sele. I think this will be a HUGE source of angst for most, if not all, Market users. Will Google hear the collective "Foul!" cry? Time will tell.

    I agree, 15 minutes is hardly enough time to decide whether or not you want the app or not. While I can understand their reasoning behind the change, I think an hour would be much more reasonable.

    I'm anticipating a very loud public outcry. Maybe it'll get them to change the refund policy.
