Just removed the killer app upon your advice here. Thanks guys!

Is it better to limit the apps on the device?

I didn't uninstall mine but I removed the widget and won't be using it any longer. I'll still use the program to close unresponsive apps that don't show up in the system's task killer. Thanks for the very useful info!

Without a doubt my battery lasts hours longer by backing out of apps, selecting exit from the menu if available, and using the included task manager than it did when using a task killer widget.

I like the task manager that comes stock on the phone but no others. Since I have switched to CM7 I haven't had a task killer at all and my phone is blazing and my battery rules. Task killers are a waste of time.

It's not a dead horse as long as there are still auto task killers in Market and Verizon employees promote them.
