    Car Mode and Freezing

    Does anyone else have the problem of Car Mode activating at the most random times? It is truly annoying, and I have no idea how to fix it.

    Also, my phone randomly freezes at moments of zero use. Is this most likely a software error such as a faulty firmware upgrade or such? My phone is really acting up in general and factory reset does nothing to fix anything.

    I don't have an answer about Driving Mode, or the freezing under very light work loads, but I'm looking for the freezing answer too, so I'm watching this thread.

    Do you have any idea how much RAM your phone is using when it freezes up?
    Mine is (I assume way high) using about 500 or more mb at any given time, and I'm trying to figure out if this is causing the crashing/freezing problems, or if this amount of usage is perfectly acceptable for this phone.
    I'm finding there are too many variables for a simple answer, but I guess let's wait and see.

    For car mode activating check your USB port on your phone for any debris.

    500mb is totally acceptable. It will be more on ICS.

    i was having the same problems with my SGS2 with the car mode and freezing. i tried everything from resetting it to downloading an antivirus and nothing could fix it. i finally gave up and took it to a Sprint repair shop where we discovered the phone wouldn't even go into USB Mode. The Tech actually sent an hour or two trying different ways but nothing worked. Sprint ended up giving me a new one and labeled it defective.
