Caller ID ring tone

I can not remove the Caller ID ring tone from my fascinate ever since the 2.2.1 update. I have tried checking the box on the Voice Input and Output section entitled Always use my settings and unchecking the box labeled Driving mode.

Are there any other suggestions? This is driving me crazy and has been there for months.

Hi, there! Unfortunately, this seems to be something that Verizon screwed up with that update. I've looked for a solution and haven't been able to find one. The only way I know to take care of that issue is by rooting (gaining admin access to) your phone and flashing a custom ROM (firmware).

If anyone knows of a way to silence the announced caller ID on a stock Fascinate, please do share.

Volume all way off will silence it lol. Mujis right. Without being on a custom rom, there isn't a fix for that.

1. Double Tap your home icon
2.Press the applications button
3. Find Voice Commands App (Has the Nuance logo on the icon)
4. After the app has begun, press the lower left key to pop the additional keys.
5. Choose settings
6. Choose Prompts
7. Choose Mode
8. Choose Tones Only
