Bricked? But can still enter Download Mode

So I did something stupid. I tried to flash my fascinate with a version of odin that's meant for I9000 and used the flash files for it too. I was trying to get Darky's rom. After reading the compatibility stuff, I decided to just go for it. What the heck right? -.-

I read a few people who got the other version firmware to work on the fascinate, so when I gave it a go, odin obviously failed and my phone is now bricked. At first when I turned it on after bricking, there were diagonal lines of green dots across the screen. When I checked, download mode still worked, so I ruled out that it's a hard brick. Is this true? I read somewhere that it's a hard brick only if you can't access download mode, on top of everything else.

After bricking it, I found the telus stock files for odin and I tried reflashing with these files. It continuously comes up with a write error. Same with when I downloaded the D101 package and tried flashing with that.

At this point, even if I turn the phone on normally, nothing happens at all. But I can still access download mode by holding vol up and down and plugging it into the computer. PLEASE tell me there's a way to undo my mistake. I'm really stuck without this phone and I need help asap.

Please let me know if I have hope, even if I have to go to a store. But if there's a way for me to fix it myself, that would be better.

    Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum! Do you have a Telus Fascinate? Because we technically don't support that phone on this site.

I think you'll need to flash your phone's stock firmware to repair the problem. I don't have any links handy, but I presume you can find it at XDA Developers forum. That's where a lot of stuff is available.

Sorry I can't help you more than that. I'm in the office.

Ive been to those sites and used those methods already. While trying to flash those telus files with odin is when I'm having trouble. Odin opens the files but when it starts writing it fails. It just says Complete(write) failure when it tries to actually write. I don't get it.
