Update: Just to keep peeps informed. Yesterday unplugged at 8am 100% charged. Ended up 1am re-charging.. phone had 70% battery life remaining! Awesome.
Interesting note: I recharged the phone while it was on last night. This morning it said fully charged but the battery meter read 97%. I unplugged the charger (left the phone on) and re-plugged. It charged for another 25 minutes and got to 99% charged and the phone indicated it was fully charged. Repeated these steps again... phone finally got to 100% charged. Seems to be th exact same issue wether the phone is on and charging or off and charging. I know that there are a lot of posts on batttery meter inaccuracy.. but it does seem like my phone needs additional charging. Thoughts? Is this just a inaccurate batter meter or is it something else?
Thanks for the continuing updates on this thread.. I have learned a lot.
What you're experiencing w/ the battery reading charged and the actual charge being a little less is completely normal w/ Li-Ion batteries. Successively unplugging & replugging in order to get the charge to 100% is known as "bump charging." (Yes, it actually has a name.)
Thanks Mujibar -- so should i continue to follow this protocol of bump charging? I didn't see this prior to loading superclean..
You probably didn't notice it because the stock setup doesn't have an accurate battery (percent charge). I looked up some stuff on charging Li-Ion batteries once. The guy got into such exhaustive detail that I stopped reading. I honestly don't even remember what the pros & cons to bump charging are. Sorry.
