No idea what is wrong.

Here is the back story, I got this phone off of eBay and tried to boot it up. Wouldnt turn on. Plugged it in and the battery thing would come on but still wouldnt turn on. So I read a little more about it and decided to try to odin, however it would always hang at the movinand.bin and eventually fail. I moved to heimdall and here is where I'm at.
I did the heimdall(eh03) and was finally able to get it to android recovery however i got a few errors. It said this as it popped up "E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2" I also tried to odin it however after i add the .pit and pda files, and click re-partition it just goes to all threads complete. Also, i hit reboot system now in the android menu and it started to boot up, but at the verizon logo it stayed there for a minute then went back to the Galaxy S animation.

What does that mean?

One more quick update. Im trying to get to AOKP, I tried to odin after all of this and it appears to still hang on movinand.bin. here is what I am following:http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1238070

Now it will not turn on without plugging it into some kind of charger, and when it does it just shows the battery no matter what I do.

You might try a different cord, these phones can be very picky about that element of the flash.

I think I may be making some progress. It will now boot up however I am getting an "Encryption Unsuccessful." Next?

Im going to have to try to use my cousins samsung cord tomorrow and try odin. I cant get anywhere with this thing. movinand.bin just doesnt want to work even though heimdall works fine. Im clueless.

And I wish I knew why, I just used the heimdall again, odin'd in voodoo and now if i press the volume buttons + power it does nothing, i have to plug it back into the pc for it to do anything and when I do that, it shows the battery and doesnt want to do anything.

Well something definitely isn't working properly with Heimdall either it sounds like. I'd give it another shot with a Samsung cable and see if that works.

Stock cord, ODIN failed yet again on movinand.bin. Just will not work.
