    Samsung Fascinate Retired by Verizon

According to the above photo on Verizon's database, the long run for the Samsung Fascinate has come to a close. Verizon has officially "RETIRED" the device. More than likely, the newest phones that will replace this lineup will be the Galaxy S series. In fact, their is a lot of buzz going around that the Samsung Stratosphere, which will be coming September 8th, is the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy SII version for Verizon. Still, as popular as the Fascinate was for so long, it is definitely in the realm of possibility that we will see a mid-range Fascinate II phone come along some time in the future to sit next to the flagship Galaxy S line. If not, R.I.P. Fascinate.

This news sucks, I can upgrade my phone in August but I think I'm gonna hold on to my fascinate for a while. I like this phone too much. 4.3 inch scree seems to be standard and its just too bulky. 4.0 inch screen, like the Fascinate's, should be the standard.

I'm sad that she never even got to see her first birthday, officially. Still a great phone, and there's still some dev support out there for her.

I'm not too sure many android phones lasted a year did they? Anyway I'm happy as this phone has served me well and with the development going on I'm good til a worthy successor emerges.

Well, I can only say from my experience that the fassy beats a lot of other phones on VZW's market, including a few of the newer ones! It retires in a blaze of glory!! lol... a little dramatic. Anyway, I have my contract for another year so I'm stuck with this awesome phone til then. Darn!
