    I remember that the nexus site said when it was first announced that VZW would be getting it but then VZW trading it for the incredible but they never officially announced getting the nexus one. At least with this one big red has officially announced they will get it

    And that puts a end to the "remember the nexus one" negative speculating about this phone.

    You have made the right choice. With the exception of the Prime launching with Ice Cream Sandwich and the resolution of the screen being a little better, it would would be a step backwards to leave the SGS2. I still can't believe this new phone isn't the beast. Even the Razr touts better specs.

    Anyone have any guesstimates on the price of this thing, both on and off contract? If off contract, where do you suggest shopping/purchasing from?

    My guess on contract 249~300.

    off contract I say 500~650. Just a semi educated guess.

    According to this its $680 {GSM unlocked no simcard} http://androidcommunity.com/galaxy-n...-680-20111019/

    Or 800 from this source {compared from confirmed price points of other places, usa price is still speculation }

    But the $680 is for the SIM-free GSM version. I expect Verizon's LTE version will cost a little more. Hope not, but I won't be surprised if it is. (So I'll be pissed, but not surprised.)

    EDIT: The $800 projection is based on confirmed price points in other countries. That's still speculation at this time.
