[APP] Samsung Galaxy Note Visual Voicemail

With AT&T all LTE capable phones are now eligible for free Visual Voice Mail. When I activated my Note on their network they set me up for it, but when I got home I couldn't find the application on my phone.

I went back to the store thinking that I was missing something obvious. They couldn't figure it out either so I did some digging and found this apk that works with the Note. All you have to do is ensure that you have a current pin enabled on your voice mail, download this apk using your phone, and then launch it (you will have to have Settings, Applications, Unknown Sources checked to sideload it).

It will ask for your pin and work without any effort afterwards. The shortcut to the app will be in your Application tray.

    Download here: GNoteVVM - Minus

Thanks for posting this. I missed the visual voicemail and this worked great. I tried to access the site on my pihone but it would not find the file. I downloaded it to my PC and then connected the Note and moved the file to the download area of the phone and launched it there. Works great and love it

You are welcome. It is a great feature that I have missed since making the move to Android. Welcome to the forum.

You can download it from your phone by clicking on the download link while on your phone's browser. You will see a little arrow in your status bar once the download begins. Slide your notification bar down and select the apk when it is finished downloading. It will prompt you for the install. Alternatively, using a file browser, you can navigate to /sdcard/downloads(s) and install it from there.

Beforehand, you must enable "unknown sources" within the Settings app of your phone. Since I am on ICS mine is under Settings, Security. This also has to be enabled to use the Amazon App Store and Getjar. It is not to be taken lightly anywhere else when downloading apks because as the warning pop up states it bypasses security of the device.

I downloaded the app no problem. But when I launched the app, it tells me to call my voice mail. I do, but then nothing happens. I checked to make sure that I still have the visual voice mail data option and I do. What do I do to get this to work, because I've become accustomed to a certain voicemail lifestyle and I don't really wanna go back...

Try pushing and holding the number 1 on the phone dialer. That should take you automatically to voice mail on an AT&T phone.

I have no problem connecting to my voice mail, but I need a verification sent to the visual voice mail app. How does that happen?
