Hello - and welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing a hassle with your phone and I wish I could walk you through it, but I'm not a technician and I don't have a Note. But lets try this: In Settings, you should have the entry "Date and Time" go there (settings) and tap on Date and time. On my Nexus, I have Automatic Date and Time (use network provided time) and Automatic Time Zone - and both are checked. If your phone is displaying GMT rather than the time zone you're actually in, try unchecking those two entries which then gives you the option of choosing the correct time manually, or changing your time zone. Living in Cleveland, Ohio I'm Eastern Standard time, which is GMT - five hours. You need to change that, depending on where you live.

HTH, but if it doesn't post back and we'll try to get one of the Rescue Squad guys to give you a hand.

Thanks for the prompt reply, UD. Unfortunately there is no "Date and Time" entry in neither the "settings" nor the "clock" apps.
    Regards, C

Hmmm, so much for that idea. :/

OK, what DO you have under settings which deals with date and time? It may not be labeled Date and Time (like it is on my Galaxy Nexus) but there has to be a way to change your setting for Daylight Savings Time as well as the time zone you're in.

I see no settings dealing with date & time, as if the phone receives that info from a signal...which I just realized I don't have, as the phone is new to me & I have yet to install a SIM card & activate service...DOH!

I'll do that & report back. Thanks, C.
