I know, right? Gonna be way out of my league. That is a great design.

I just read something interesting and confusing at the same time. Both the Razr and the Prime will have pentile displays. Boo! Hiss! http://m.techcrunch.com/2011/10/20/t...nch+TechCrunch

Then what about all the HD SAMOLED talk during the Google announcement the other night, not to mention the spec listings all over the place?

EDIT: Never mind. I was confused.

My phone has the SuperAmoled Plus rating. It enables more subpixels in essence killing the pentile gradient effect. Guess which phones don't have the Plus rating?

What's the big deal with pentile displays?

And the HD rating is for a higher resolution.

From what I understand, Pentile displays use 2 sub-pixels per pixel. Traditional LCD displays use 3 per pixel. End result is a "choppier" picture with Pentile.

Can't be too big a deal being 720p right?

Dunno. People seem to not like the screen on the Bionic (which, I know, is a lower res).

I would think that if it really was an issue on the GN, we would've heard something from the journalists at the press event the other night.

I still get gradient effects on my display, but it is subtle.
