Is my RAM usage 387 / 784MB normal?

    Greetings:

I wonder if my ram usage is normal. I currently have 387 / 784MB. It occupies more than 50% even though I don't have any active application running. Why is that? What do you have?

    Thanks.

I am using 97. With a stock rom it is around 280-300. It all depends on what apps you have on your phone and what theydo in the background. Like whether you have a wifi profile set up or push notifications, apps that are allowed to automatically update themselves, those stinking hubs. What is listed when you first reboot your phone?

    Thank you for your help.

When I reboot the phone it shows 250MB then starts increasing to 336MB.

A RAM usage of around 250 to 380 is very normal for this phone. some of this ram is occupied purely from the operating system and ui of the phone. My s2 had a ram of 210 before i even downloaded any apps. even if you have no applications running in the background at all the phone will still use at least 200 ram just to use the android core apps which run the phones os and ui.
