Is there a galaxy s2, or note version that i can use on verizon network .

I am a verizon customer and have unlimited data from a previous contract. I want either the galaxy s2 or galaxy note but i am having trouble finding someone that will give me a direct answer on if there are unlocked ones compatable or a way around it. Would greatly apprieciate any solid advice.

I believe you're out of luck. Verizon uses CDMA technology which is totally incompatible with the GSM technology used for AT&T and T-Mobile phones. You might (emphasis the word might) be able to take the SGS2 released by Sprint and use it on Verizon, but I have doubts that you'd be able to get much in the way of performance out of it. Sprint and Verizon use different bands for their radios and you'd likely end up on 2G - which would be agonizingly slow. As for the Note, I'm pretty sure that's an AT&T exclusive....meaning no CDMA at all.

    Sorry!

I think you may be missing the boat on the Nexus, my freind. There is no more root-friendly, hackable phone out there than the Galaxy Nexus! Take another look...

The International version of the SGS2 (which Ollie, one of our R/S guys has) is strictly GSM. The bigger problem you're facing is that finding a CDMA version of the Note or SGS2 won't do you a lot of good unless it has the bands which Verizon uses. The International Version of the SGS2 has all of the AT&T bands, and I believe all of the T-Mobile bands, as well as some european bands - but no Verizon CDMA bands.
