Phone does not ring or make any sound..

I do not hear the phone ringing or making any sound when calls or sms or emails arrive. I have done all I know short of a reset. In settings silent mode is checked off, in sounds all volumes are set to maximum, while on a call when i go to speaker, i hear nothing...

What am I missing? Driving me nuts.

You might have the issue where the phone randomly "thinks" a headset is plugged in and shuts down speaker and earpiece. Try the SoundAbout app. It lets you "block" the bad headset signals so that your can use the phone normally.

Or the actual notification ringtone is set to "Silent" or "None"

i hav this same problem with my Samsung galaxy grand......i can get the sounds of other things..but no sound fror media...and when icall i can't hear the beeping sound.wbut when i turn on the Loud Speaker, i can.PLZ help me

As someone suggested above, have you tried plugging in a headset and then unplugging it?

Are there any apps you have installed recently that might put the whole phone in to a vibrate state?

Also, try taking the batt out for a few minutes and put it back in.
