    back button slow response

My Samsung Galaxy s2 is experiencing a slow response with the back button. (around 6 seconds long) to return to the main menu (home screen). Is there any setting to rectify this? Don't want to mess around with re-setting to factory settings - not an expert and don't want to mess up anything.

How long has this been happening? Does this happen after a reboot? How much ram is your phone using[Hold home button, select Task Manager, select RAM at the top]?

I have only noticed this a couple of days now, just did a reboot - wow response time back again, why didn't I think of re-booting LOL! Thanks so much!! Looking at the RAM the status is 254MB/837MB
I was so worried that there was something seriously wrong with the phone.
Also I am so conservative with what apps I install on the phone, with all the permissions they ask for - have looked at pocket permissions.

I reboot once a day. This phone has never lagged on me which I find amazing. As far as an app watcher there was one made by an XDA developer but I can't remember what it is called. It could disable any apps permissions that were deemed shady. I am leery of permissions as well. Coming from an iPhone that didn't have permissions listed, I find it to be one if the top things about Android. Also, I have noticed that the stock browser ramps up its RAM usage quite frequently and I have to kill it with the built in task manager. I wonder if this is common on our phone?

Good to know Ollie, about the rebooting. I read through "Lost packet's" pocket permissions guide on finding trusted apps. I use Dolphin web browser. Sorry for the layman (or woman in this instance) what is a stock browser? Thanks again! Am really happy about this forum!

The stock browser is the one that came with the phone. It is labelled as Internet(really creative) in your app drawer.
