Screen Lock not working.

Hi

First of all thank you for creating a Forum to put in questions on Galaxy S2. I am a 1st time user of Android Smartphone. While playing with my phone i found a issue that is After setting Screen Lock (Any type). I activated my phone from sleep it was asking for the pattern than I Wrongly provided the pattern and waited the screen to go back to sleep (Don't do any thing while this happens). then if i activate again the phone is going to non screen lock mode.

Just wanted to know its issue with my phone or other phone is having the issue.

My phone is ATT Samsung Galaxy S2.

Hi Robin,

Have yet to see that issue posted in the forum. Someone with the SG2 (this forum has a few phones it supports) will have to dig a little to see if they can see what is happening. Hopefully we can get this tomfoolery settled for you in no time.

I read that's a common problem with one of the carriers phones. Let me see if I can find the article again.

AT&T's lockscreen doesn't work. I'm surprised they haven't pushed an update for this yet because it has been known since day 1.

I have the T-Mobile version and I am having the same problem. I have tried the link provided above, and it didn't help. Another problem I noticed with the power/lock button, is that it no longer gives me the option to silence it by pressing that button.

My screen lock is not there all together, not even the default swipe screen. I can go into settings and set and turn on lock screen pattern or pin etc but still dont actually show up. Tried setting lock timeout to immidiate but nothing. Also when I hold power it shuts down straight away and no silent mode screen. Any ideas? This just started happening.

You have what 99% of us want. No lockscreen. The power button issue would bother me though. Have you installed anything lately that would conflict with a lockscreen? If not, and you want your lockscreen back, I would back up your data to your computer with Samsung Kies and then do a factory reset from the Settings--Privacy menu. See if it is corrected and then restore from your backup.
