Mass storage problem over usb to iMac

    Hei all

I came across a problem while syncing Handy Safe Pro for Android with my iMac running Lion, and simplified my search to simply connecting my GS2 ICS 4.0.3 to the iMac over USB, the SD card(s) show up on the iMac Desktop OK, BUT until a minute ago I was unable to eject them no matter what I tried. I was running no app on the iMac or the GS2, simply turning USB Storage on, seeing that the SD card (no name) mounts OK, 'USB storage in use' lights up orange on the GS2, but from there I couldn't unmount/eject the 'disk'...

However, I just discovered the small print under 'USB storage in use' says 'make sure you have unmounted your Android's USB storage from your computer before turning off USB storage, and of course I was 'Turning off USB storage' first! DUH!

I looked for a way to discard this post, but then I thought it might just be a reminder to others...

Gotta love the fine print! I am not sure why Android phones have chosen an odd file formatting systems (cough Samsung cough), but certainly there has to be a way to make things more simple.
