    complicated problem I think

I sure hope I can get help with this. I have the Galaxy S2I777 UCKH7 AT&T 2.3.4 Gingerbread. I moved to Panama and now am using it ona network down here. The phone has had some quirks that I was hoping an updatewould help with. I would like to update to ICS but cannot figure out how to doit down here and on a different network. Anyone have any ideas??? I have seen onthe internet various ways but I have not seen exactly the same situation as Ihave. I don't want to screw the phone up by not doing the correct procedure. Any help will be greatly appreciated

You are on the most current firmware for your phone. There is a leaked ICS available that is flashable through Odin using a PC, but it is an incomplete firmware.

You could always flash a custom rom to have something different that may fix issues you have been having. There are some ICS roms available that are built off of the leak.

Whatever you end up doing make sure that you do not flash anything designated for the i9100 or your phone will be bricked. Always double check that it is for the 777.

Wow! Thats interesting and I am sorry to hear I was hoping to go an easy route. You know a quick update and fix all my problems. I am not impressed with this phone in many ways. It has some nice features I will give it that but it has so many quirks that I dont think I would buy another. I had a Google nexus one before and it worked great without problems. I thought for sure this would be the same. Oh well live and learn. Thank you so much for the information. I think I will just sit back and not think about it anymore. Live with what I have.

What quirks are you having? Most of the time a factory reset will fix bugs.
