    Hi,

I need help with the mentioned problem. I did one of these automatic firmware updates and on the reboot the phone got stuck in that "glowing S" phase, and it stays there forever.

I seriously don't know what to do with this. I can't get in to my phone I really hope you can help me

And, the phone is original. it have the ICS update, and it is not rooted. Ihave tried taking out the battery, making a restore through Kies, but this is impossible as Kies doesn't find the phone, since it's stuck during boot...

Which version of the phone is it?

Press and hold volume up+power button until the phone reboots. Let go of the power button and continue holding the volume up button.

Once in recovery do a factory wipe. Reboot the phone .

Do you have Odin version 1.85 installed on your pc?

Download this: Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: I9100XWLPD_I9100NEELP4_NEE.zip
You have to unzip it once. You should end up with one tar file. If you end up with more than one file then you unzipped it too many times.

Exit out of anything Kies related on your PC. Check your task manager!
Turn your phone off and do not have it plugged into your PC.
Rightclick Odin and select Run as Administrator.
Put your phone into download mode. Press and hold volume down+power button until it reboots. If it asks you press volume up to confirm.
Your PC may start installing drivers. If it does allow it to completely finish.
Once in download mode plug the factory USB cable into your phone and then into your PC. Do not use a USB hub.
Odin should recognize your phone. The top left box in Odin should turn yellow and ID Com will display some random numbers.
Make sure only Autoreboot and Freset are checked on the left.
    Select the PDA button.
Navigate to the tar file you unzipped earlier and select it.
    Press Start.
Do not interrupt the process, bump the USB cable, etc. or your phone will be a paper weight.
It will reboot when it is done.
    Profit.

Hi, I did as written, and I get the messages shown in the screenshot. What is wrong? I don't get any pass sign.
