I'm not trying to stick anybody. The phone worked perfectly fine when I took it out of the box. The ICS update is what sent my phone into this perpetual state of uselessness. I'm still where I was always at before I tried these other options in recovering my phone. I just don't want Samsung or AT&T to stick me for a system error that I had no part in.

Sorry I'm just really frustrated. I'm a college student out of state in the midwest and this heat plus not having a phone is really taking a toll on me...
I'll start trying looking for people who will be able to fix my phone though.

Samsung and AT&T know all too well about this ICS disaster. Whether you rooted your phone doesn't matter. The fact that the official upgrade from GingerBread to ICS bricks your phone does matter. They will make it right.

Thank you Ollie for setting aside some of my worries!

I think I'm still going to try a phone repair shop if their prices are reasonable; but thanks again for your help! I really appreciated it!

You can look for a local JTag technician or I can PM you a link to a reputable one. I believe it is around $50.
