phone not working

hi all!!
i have samsung galaxy s2 sgh i777.bought as a deal from sam's club on black friday. it stopped working suddenly last night.i was listening to music..i put for charging and slipped into sleep..when i got up and saw in the morning...it's not working..i tried removing the battery and sim card....i tried pressing the power button...also i pressed the volume button..i did what all i know..are there any other methods..right now i plugged it to my laptop..i am waiting for some response... what else can i do...i din't update it with the ics software...also i noticed that my data usage was way too high last month than my original plan...my dataplan was off 200mb/$ 15..but it went upto 748 mb where i was charged with $15/ every 200 mb...my husband is a bit pissed off with the huge bill..i am usually very cautious in using the data.as far as i remember i don"t use the 4g at all..i don"t know how it went so high...i am mostly home or library using the wifi....now my phone is not working...what shud i do..

You might consider trying another battery. Also, you can try pressing and holding the Power Button+Home Button together until the phone reboots. If it doesn't then there is a power issue. Does the screen show a battery icon while it is plugged in?

The data issue could be a long list of culprits. If we can get the phone to boot again then we can check to see what is increasing your data.
