HELP PLEASE!! -- GalaxyS2 stuck at [phone]--/_\--[PC] screen (yellow triangle with !)

I got above error when i tried to root ma phone i.e install super user using odin and CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_LPH-v5.2-CWM5 as DAP .

NOw can i flash ma phone without rooting itself ??

Just to confirm that the file is not corrupt ( it took a lot of time to download)


I extracted the file using 7-zip you mentioned in the prior threads.


It shows me two file :
I9100GXXLPQ_I9100GODDLP7_I9100GDDLP5_HOME.tar.md5 >>> 3BFBCB11 - 5B5A2939 - A689102A - 79FA56E4
AND
SS_DL.dll >>> 475D32EC - 5F70175E - 47C0D9A5 - 89F1BD68


Is this what is expected when we extract the tar file ??

Hello Ollie,

Thanks a lot, I beleive the update was successful, however at the "Installing Applications" during the install of Kies Air, it errored that "Could not upgrade the firmware, visit Samsung store / service centre" (message similar to this). Rest it installed other stuff like the Samsung Apps (icon) and Polaris Office (icon).

I was able to view all the icons and the home screen. It then gave one more message "Could not connect to the Internet" with a OK button.

After that, it just showed a "Battery-low with yellow triangle with exclamation mark".

What do you think? Is the Battery down and needs charge ? Should I unplug it and charge it with Normal Traveller Charger ??

Yes, it looks like you should charge your battery. Afterwards boot into recovery and perform a factory data wipe.

Volume up+Home+Power Button. Then navigate with the volume keys and make selections with the home button.

Thanks a million dude! It is working great now with ICS, feel that its faster than the ginger-bread.

Is it mandatory to do the factory data wipe ? What will this step do ? Will it erase any of the data on the phone ?

I have not yet done it ... Please advise! How much time will that take ?

That's good news! It was like pulling teeth.

If you aren't having any bugs then no, it isn't necessary. It only takes a second and yes it wipes everything.

Thanks a lot, I do not think I will be tinkering around with the phone so soon unless I learn all fool-proof methods to revive it back

I may post some threads here if I do not find any answers, but let me just have a look around in other sections!

As of now, I prefer to stay with bugs then run into more issues...

Some phones are bound to carriers (telecoms). I will brb.

This is ICS for India. Unzip it one time using a program called 7Zip. You will end up with a single .tar file. If you don't then you have unzipped it too many times.

This is Odin Version 1.85. Unzip it once as well. You will use it to flash the .tar file from above.

Once that has all been taken care of follow these instructions.

Download mode for your phone is Volume Down+Home Button+Power Button until the phone reboots.

previously running 4.1.2
I did run the Odin from Verizon and crash my system error when booting
stuck with a logo of (phone)--- /_\---(pc) (yellow triangle with exclamation mark)

I can-t get into fastboot download mode or other but the odin recognize my phone

I'm at Costa Rica my carrier is ICE

I have the Odin 1.85
I need the PDA and Phone to be use with ODIN can you please suggest me?
