Galaxy S2 getting all warm and full battery exhausted in 4 hours!

Hi Admin,

I got my galaxy S2 last month and accidentally left my mobile on the charger overnight. This morning the battery was full and cool and at midday the battery became exhausted and the mobile is warm! I quickly turn it off and charge it with my laptop using USB cable (I need to make calls).

Please let me know what you think about this.

Welcome to the forum! Leaving your phone on the charger won't hurt the battery. I leave my on each night before bed. How long have you had the phone. Have you checked to see what apps are running? Is your GPS on, location services, Bluetooth, etc.
You could try and download an app from the play store called GSam battery monitor. Use it for a day to see what's draining your battery.

Check the following:
- Are you on EDGE or HSPA+? 3.5G connections are known to eat up the battery more.
- Is your phone rooted? If yes, you could mod your build.prop to allow deep sleep. It might be caused by a not-working deep sleep or bad processor values
- Charging overnight doesn't affect battery life. Even if it does the effect is negligible.
- It might be something bad in the system. Try sending it for service.
- Do you have lots of apps? Some of them might make use of sync to sync data in the background, therefore using 3G and eating up battery.

There might be other issues, but we'll check these first.....
