Yes stock cable was used.
So I redid it a couple times with no success.
I removed the file and Odin from my computer and reinstalled again.
This time around it worked!
Thank you so much Ollie
Good deal! You are very welcome

Hey im new to this and I am also having this issue, I am in U.K with Orange-Tmobile network. Also if you could possibly give me it in baby steps, I have no idea what Odin is, I had the issue where my phone constantly had the 100% battery logo and when i turned my phone off I had the yellow triangle with a thermomter? I was advised to upgrade to ice cream sandwich, in the progress of doing this (it was taking ages) I had a power cut and my computer switched off through the upgrade and now I am having this issue. any help would be appreciated muchly, I feel like i've losy my left arm![]()
Thanks
Can your phone boot into download mode? Press and hold Volume Down+the Home Button+the Power Button together until the phone reboots.

yeah i have it in download mode
I also now have Odin installed on my computer![]()
Ok. With your phone in download mode and Odin running on your PC plug your phone into the PC using the factory USB cable. A box in Odin should turn Yellow and ID Com should display a random number.
You say you are on Orange T-Mobile? Which is it? There is an Orange firmware and a T-Mobile firmware available. What did your boot screen depict previously whenever you rebooted your phone?
