    Noob, SGS2 bricked, help!!!!

    I'm new here and new to this problem. A while ago my sgs2 crashed and I did a hard reset and luckily didnt lose much. This time my sgs2 has bricked and will not go into hard reset mode, it does a rebot loop whilst trying this method. It will however go into download ODIN mode with the power + Vol up + Home buttom procedure. Is there a way through kies or odin to recover this mess? I am not that smart with tech and in need of an expert.

    I have tried;
    battery out, in, power on = Galaxy s2 start screen (not the S symbol afterwards)

    battery out,in, power on for more than 10 seconds = boot loop with above symptoms

    battery out, in, power + Vol up + Home, release power after 3 seconds with others remaining (hard reset option) = as above

    battery out, in, power + Vol down + Home = ODIN download mode (continue or cancel)

    I did search forums for similar questions but again I failed at that sorry. Please help, I miss my phone.

    If it helps I was streaming video over dolphin browser.

    If a kies or ODIN fix is available a walkthrough would kick ass, my provider is Orange UK. Dont know if that changes things. Cheers

    Hey guys, thanks for the replies. It's a GT-I9100 and I updated it when the ICS update first came to the Orange carrier through Kies. It just all of a sudden screen froze and was non responsive.

    You might have just encountered a problem with the internal partitions a.k.a your system is messed-up.

    Is there anything I can try at least as I can get it into download mode? Is there a chance of recovering?

    Some of Samsung's ICS versions have a bug in its interiors that has the potential to wipe away your entire phone from existence.

    Unfortunately the only way to fix it is to send it for repair.

    Most probably Ventus is correct, but you can try using a USB jig which MAY force your phone into download mode. However, if you had the mmc-superbrick-bug, that won't help. You'll need to send your phone to a service center. Even JTAG won't help.

    I'm kinda angry about what Samsung did with their ICS leaks.

    Well, leaks doesn't matter. But OFFICIAL ROMs having that is insane.
