Updated phone - now not working

Hi,

I urgently need some help. I updated my phone as it suggested an update last night, and ever since it is stuck on the start up screen. It was absolutley fine before. It will let me turn it off and then it shows the charging thing (i have it on charge), but it wont go past the 's' symbol when i turn it back on. I really cant risk loosing my photos. Is there any advice or anything that i can do to get my phone back??

hey there, I require assistance to a similar problem. I stupidly tried to root my own samsung galaxy s2 that i got from craigslist, and it went to the odin screen saying 'firmware upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode in kies and try again. as I said, I do not have the proper codes to perform an emergency recover, how do I use odin to reset this phone? I do not have any important files on board so a factory reset would be great !

Download this firmware and flash it using the PDA slot in Odin 1.85: Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: I9100BULPD_I9100VODLP9_VOD.zip It is ICS for Vodaphone England.

Which version of the S2 do you have? Which carrier and country?
