Unhappy Missing Email Application in Galaxy S2 ICS

Hi, I bought a brand new galaxy s2 which had factory loaded ICS. But to my surprise, I have noted two main problems..1. I dont have the stock corporate email app in the application list. Its totally missing. Is this normal or what could have happened? From where can I get the Email.apk app?2. Every time I boot the phone, after completing the boot up the phone sends and sms to an airtel number on its on. I can't find the message in the sent items or there is no trace of the sms anywhere. But the customer care has confirmed the sms being sent but they aren't revealing the content to me. Is my phone bugged? I loaded a few spy detection apks and scanned my phone but for no use. Please help me out of this situation.

Welcome to the forum jose. Leaving a snarky comment like that is less likely to get you a response, as opposed to simply posting another comment saying, "can anyone help me with my original question". The people on this forum dont get paid for helping others, but simply do it out of the love of Android. Your original question simply could have been missed, on top of the fact that we all have busy lives, so if it takes a few days to get a response, sometimes that's just how it goes.

As for your question....have you tried a factory reset? That often clears up issues like this. Don't forget to back up your contacts, sms messages, and apps before doing so. Good luck & let us know how you make out.
Also, get rid of those spy detection apps and any task killers you may have downloaded. They aren't needed, and usually cause more problems then anything.

    Hi cr6,
I apologise for being arrogant and impatient. But i was looking for an easy way out without a factory reset and was waiting for a reply for several days. what i noticed was the thread was viewed by nearly 100 members and no one cared to reply. Reg the issue I had done a factory reset and the sms problem reccurred. I had to format my sd card to get rid of that bug and it seems to be fixed for the time being. If someone had known this nd shared the same I could save a factory reset and the hassle thereafter. That was all what I was looking for. Anyways sorry for being rude and thankyou for the help. See you later..

No problem Jose! I understand it can be frustrating, especially when you need an answer fast. and especially when you want to try everything you can BEFORE having to do a factory reset.
As for our "Rescue Squad", most of our former RS members updated their phones over the past year to either the Galaxy Nexus or the new Galaxy S3, so most of them have been busy helping out on other forums as well as trying to help out here, when they can. As you know, new phones are released every 4-6 months these days, so it's hard to keep up on so many new models. The majority of help on our site that's offered these days, (for the remaining Galaxy phones), come from regular members like yourself, or older RS members that try to find time to stop by this site to help out when they can. Normally you would have received an answer the same day, but as you can see, we're a bit short staffed at the moment. We encourage ALL members to help each other out when they can, but we've had a huge influx of new members lately that have picked up the older phones (S2, Skyrocket, Epic 4, etc) since prices on those models have dropped considerably.....and so we now have a bunch of new members that are still learning the ins and outs of their device as well. So even though you had a bunch of people look at your thread, many of them were probably new members who simply didn't know the answer to your question.

Thanks again for your patience and don't worry about your previous comment, we've all been there at one time or another, so no worries.
Good luck resolving your issues. I'll try to do a little more research and come up with some more ideas for you. In the meantime, let us know if you end up resolving the problem on your end.
    Have a great evening!
