    maildroid

I am using maildroid for my emails. I can receive mail but not send without a wifi connection. Maybe I have got the settings wrong. Any ideas please?

Hello anson, and welcome to the forum!

In order to help you we need a bit more information - What is the model number of your phone? Look underneath the battery if you're not sure. We also need to know who your service provider is. AT&T, T-Mobile?

Thanks for your reply. My phone is Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-19100P I am with O2 and am trying to set up my talktalk email address. Incoming is mail.talktalk.net port 110 Outgoing smpt.talktalk.net port 25. These are the settings on my PC and Blackberry playbook and they work fine but I understand things may be different on my phone. There is no problem using these ports with other non-talktalk email addresses and as I say incoming is fine so outgoing is the problem.

I am using maildroid on my I 777 with a fastmail acct and using imap settings, no problem sending or receiving, but I usually have wifi available. Have sent last weekend on mobile data.

I have found the answer, smtp had to be o2.co.uk instead of talktalk.net. Many thanks
