Hi All,
New to the Forum. Hope this is not too OT, my phone is an original Galaxy S, not a Galaxy SII.
I'm having a problem with my rear facing camera. I open 'Camera' (or any other camera or AR app) and it shows all the buttons etc.. but only a black background. If I switch it to the camera on the front of the phone, it kicks in, but goes black when I switch back. If I touch to focus, the focus square goes red.
I'm hesitant about re-flashing it. Anyhow, I had a stock firmware upgrade (through Kies) after the problem started and it didn't help.
Things I have done:
Force Closed camera app - (this worked once for a while, which makes me think it's software, not hardware.)
Factory reset with and without erasing memory.
Its an Original Galaxy S (i9000) on Stock Gingerbread 2.3.6 - (latest stock ROM)
Fairly annoying, since half the reason I got the phone was to have a camera handy all the time.
Any Questions/Ideas? Any help would be really appreciated.
