Emaiils won't load to account

Hi all,

I'm new to this and have a problem with emails on my phone - hoping someone can help! I took the battery out as was having issues with receiving international texts, and my email stopped working. I deleted the account and tried to reload it - and while the account has reloaded fine using the same settings, it won't download my emails. I sent a test email to my gmail account and that's arrived fine - it just won't register any emails. Any advice gratefully received!
