About 10 days ago, my messaging application stopped working. Whenever I tried to launch the program, a pop-up box would display "Unfortunately Messaging Has Stopped." As more time passed and the issue didn't resolve itself, I began researching possible fixes: power cycling, removing the battery, clearing the cache. Nothing worked. I contacted Sprint's 1-800 number and they said the only thing that would fix the problem was a factory reset which I was reticent to do.
Tonight I decided to try downloading a replacement app, Go SMS Pro. After installing it, not only did it allow me to access my old text messages but it cleared up the problem I was having with the standard messaging app that came with my Galaxy S III phone. If you're experiencing this issue, you might want to give it a try.![]()
