Dear smart people of the interwebz,
I'd very much appreciate some help with the following:
My S2 turned itself off (well before the battery would have run out). I'm not able to turn it on any more.
I've tried:
1) Taking the battery out for a while, charging it in a different S2 (the battery itself seems fine) and trying again
2) Using another charged S2 battery
3) Starting without battery, just on the charger
4) Soft reset (taking the battery out, pressing on for 10 seconds)
5) Hard reset
6) Download mode
7) Calling it a while after trying to turn it on to see if it would ring (Just to check that it's not a problem with the display).
None of this seems to work. The phone sometimes gets warm around the camera on the back until I take the battery out.
I had recently replaced the display and it has worked fine for a couple of months since then. The warranty has run out a while ago and I had also turned off all backup services with Google (All the data is solely on the internal memory).
Would anyone be able to help me with:
1) Fixing this?I'm happy to buy any required parts on Ebay. Failing that:
2) Recovering the data from the internal memory? If someone would know how to locate the internal memory on the motherboard and if it's possible to remove it and put it onto another motherboard I'd try to buy one and give that a try.
Many thanks in advance!
