Video doesn't focus on small letters

Hello everyone,

Is this a flaw or not? I tried to video small text lettering and it gets blurry with no auto focus. I have tested other phones at AT&T and didn't have that problem. Do you have that problem?

Which phone do you have?
I've never tried this before, but just checked on my Fascinate and it auto focuses fine. I did notice a couple of times, moving the phone closer to the text, it wouldn't focus....but simply pulling back and then moving closer again kicked in the auto focus.

The stock camera has that issue on my phone as well. I use lgcamera from the Market and it works fine with it and has more resolutions and tweaks to work with. I can't remember if this was addressed in the newest firmware or not.

Also, if your change your focus settings to macro, it will zoom in smaller and make text/documents more legible.

You can use the volume keys to zoom or pinch the screen to zoom. It's more of a digital crop than an actual zoom.
