    new and not smart phone savey :-(

    Hi there. I posted yesterday (in the wrong spot) and can see that this will be a good forum for me to follow. After my upgrade I can no longer tether to my computer. This is an issue since I prefer to use the PC for my emails. My settings freezes up and I get a message that it has stopped. Similar upgrade issues are suggesting a factory reboot after backing up..but I cannot backup without being online with Kies. correct? I am so confused. Evelyn "retired and loving it"

    When you plug your phone in you should get a notification in your status bar. It is a toggable option. Is that what freezes up?

    I too am new to this forum and to the smart phone Galaxy SII.
    I have the same problem. Since I upgraded to from OS 2.3 to 4.0.4 and I go to Settings, More..., Tethering and portable hotspot, I get the following message:
    "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped."
