Hello everybody. I'm really not sure where to put this, so I figured here was best. :shocked:
I was reading some of my notes and came across something that may help, not sure.

If you are having bad connectivity with your phone, hit Star (*) 3 times then push send.
This marks the call at the time of trouble. Then they (VZW) can check which cell tower it came from. This is really for dropped calls, but may be useful.

Also, was talking to one of the tier 2 people. They have official word (from Samsung) that the Fascinate has a known issue for not recieving calls. Duh!They have been instructed to replace with other phones and to not send out the Fascinate any longer. This is interesting as many are still receiving Fascinates for a replacement.
If you cannot get the phone to work right, this may be useful information.

Please don't think I'm trying to sway anybody from the Fassy. I just think it is good to know your options.

This is very useful. I heard that same thing tonight in IRC that VZW was instructed not to send out the fassy as replacement. did you happen to get a replacement phone?

seems like alot of people are getting Dinc2 or charge but mostly dinc2 as charge is out of stock.

I think my phone might be going back. Now I'm having trouble getting a stable install of CommROM. Some kind of hardware issue could explain why I couldn't get CM7 installed.

I'm fixing to try CommROM PBJ instead of OTB. See if I get better results.

Makes me wish I had bought mine from vzw. :/ eh but at least my friend maybe able to get a better phone.
