the default video player doesn't play in landscape when auto-rotation of screen off?

for example this page has a video clip:http://www.theverge.com/culture/2011/11/1/2525857/2012-survival-condo-at-the-end-of-the-world
    w
hen I clicked it played in portrait mode which made the video small, I don't want to use auto-rotation, is there other way to change it, or uninstall it? I have other players but CM7 didn't ask to choose.

You can turn Auto rotate off in Settings > Display settings (I think, its there somewhere), or you can find a toggle widget in Market.

No, it is off and I want to keep it off and let the video turn to landscape as default. Is there a way?

Have you tried to open a video file from one of the different players rather than clicking on the file itself?
Perhaps if you get a video to play from one of the other players, it may show up as a choice when clicking on the link for the video.

    Just a thought.

The Mobo player is pretty good if you have not used it yet.

I have Mobo Player, and I can open video files on SD card, but can't open from webpage by Mobo, there is no pop window to choose player.

One other thought I had was to try and disable the pop-up blocker for your browser. I normally have enabled "block pop-ups" in any browser I use. At times, I have had to uncheck this to view different videos such.

    Good luck.....
