CWM backup file rename, but doesnt restore...

So After backing up and messing up my phone so much I decided I should rename the backup files to specific names to remember at what point that file was saved instead of time date. But if the file is renamed it doesnt let you recover with it, MD5 not found, or whatever.
So is there a way to do this [rename] and make it able to be restored?

My experience with that md5 is that once it happens, the backup is no longer usable. I'm not sure the md5 error is related to the fact that you renamed it. Last week I successfully restored a backup, and then 3 hours later it failed md5 verification and was useless.

Well I have been backing up and restoring for days and I tried renaming it 2x and those two times it failed, so im pretty sure, from my experience, its because of the name change, but I dont see why the name change would make it not recognized. But in your case that is messed up, I would be frustrated.

ahh well I guess I should be happy
I don't know if its suppose to work this way, but if I use Ef and make a back up and then switch to ComRom and make a back up, I can switch roms by chosing my back up.
