Rooted and random signal drop?

Hello, i have had my fascinate for about a year now. I decided last week to root it. I followed the instructions on this website : "How to root and install Froyo" and then installed the ROM SuperClean 2.9. It works great, however my phone drops signal for no reason. And i mean NO signal. I get the searching for service thing ( and an icon in my notification bar that is like a circle with a line threw it ). It didnt do this before i rooted my phone. I was at my cousins house when i noticed this, and when i got home it was still the same. I restarted my phone and i had my 2 bars that i have at home.

Any ideas of what / why its doing this? Any solution? Does rooting your phone interfere with your signal or the thingy that picks up the signal? THANKS A MILLION!!!!

root should not interfere with signal...what base band are you running? are you sure you had this phone for a year?

Whats a basebrand? Ill be glad to provide this information

And I've had it since last summer so pretty close yeah.

Does the "circle with the bar through it" look more like a diamond shape with "crosshair or plus mark"? Thats your gps signal, a new icon that came with the froyo update.
Not sure about your signal loss issue. Hopefully someone else can offer up a solution for you.

baseband is the modem...and it can be found in menu>settings>about phone

Strange...never come across that one. Sorry i can't be of more help but we've got quite a few fascinate pros here so someone should have an answer for ya!

same one I'm running..when you flashed did you wipe data and cache? you may want to try and flash the dl09 modem..can be found here in the rs guides
