    Angry Can't download Market apps

    Is anyone having trouble downloading apps from the Market? I don't seem to be able to get anything. I've tried downloading different apps at different times of the day, but all I get is a "download unsuccessful" notification. Is there a setting I can change or do I need to take the phone in to a VZW store? Thanks for any help!

    I'm a new user (love the Fascinate!) so am not an expert by any means. I have noticed, however, that if I am using Wi-Fi sometimes I have issues connecting with the market. I never have this problem with only GPS enabled.

    Have you tried pulling the battery and retrying?

    Just did a battery pull & tried re-downloading Speedtest app (both 3G & WiFi). No dice. Any thoughts? Think I need to take it in to a store?

    Alright, looks like I'm faced w/ having to do a factory reset. Will backup my data tonite & try doing this the hard way.

    I have the same exact problem with the market, then I noticed that I cannot download/preview attachments in gmail, sd card needed to download attachments. Factory reset on the phone caused tons of errors. Got a brand new one from the local store. SAME EXACT PROBLEM!!!!!

    Please help......anyone. Verizon's tech support along with Samsung's tech support only say hard reboot...

    Just an update. I did a factory reset and was finally able to download apps. No issues for a good while, until I tried downloading something today. Back to the same problem! Anybody have any ideas? I don't want to have to take the phone in to the "wizards" [sarcasm] at the VZW store.

    Lightbulb Woo-freakin-hoo!!

    Alright, kiddies. After surfing the Web for what feels like an eternity and finding many different approaches to solving this issue, I FINALLY came across a solution that worked for me. The steps are as follows:

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Select Applications.
    3. Select Manage Applications.
    4. Select Market (You may have to press Menu > Filter > All to see it)
    5. Select Clear cache.
    6. Back out of the screen and select Download Manager.
    7. Select Clear data.
    8. Also clear data for Google Apps, Google Talk (both Service & Storage) and Checkin Service.

    NOTE: The parenthetical to step #8 is my addition.

    Glad you found it, I was just getting ready to post when I saw you had figured it out. I had the same problem with my Droid a couple of months ago and this fixed the issue.
