!@#$ Comcast! Ready to try forwarding through Gmail. (Help!)

    OH. MY. WORD!!!

My stinking Comcast account is thiiiiiiis close to pushing me over the edge.

Now I can't SEND emails at all. They just stay in the Outbox, and when I try to send, I get a message that says "Connection Error".

I THINK I am RECEIVING all my emails, but HOW WOULD I KNOW WHAT I'M MISSING??!!! GAH!

I'm ready to try forwarding the Comcast mail to Gmail, but I have no idea how to do this? Can someone please offer me "Directions 101 for Morons"??! Thank you so much!!!

(My Fassy is [of course] not rooted.)

You need to sign in to your comcast account, then go to account, then settings, then select Email Forwarding. type in the email you want them to get forwarded to. I had to do the same thing for my account. i wanted to smash Comcast/Verizon in the head because my emails werent getting to my phone. They show up instantly now.
Sent from my Rooted X2. I miss my Fassy.

    THANKS, GUYS!!!

Soooo... am I understanding you both correctly? It can either be done through Comcast --OR-- through Gmail? Do you suppose one is preferable over the other for any reason?

Sounds like you need to login to your Comcast account on the computer & set up the forwarding to your Gmail account from there.

    OK... gotcha. Thanks, Muji!

AYE YI YI, this is so frustrating! I did some cruising around on the Internet and found a LOT of people with Android phones and the EXACT SAME PROBLEM w/ their Comcast mail. Apparently Comcast blames Verizon and Verizon blames Comcast and everyone passes the buck and the problem has never been solved!

    OK, I just did it.

Went to Comcast on my PC and enabled Email Forwarding to Gmail. Elected to "save a copy" on Comcast, too... not sure if that's the best idea or not, but since that's the email address attached to my MS Outlook, I thought that would be good. (Any thoughts/comments otherwise?)

Anyway, I'll let you guys know how it goes. And THANK YOU for talking me in (again!) off the ledge!!!
