    Cant access apps!

    All of a sudden my new Verizon Fascinate stopped being able to load the application list. on top of that it doesnt let me access settings in the home screen and my background has disappeared. The phone is about 3 weeks old, bought brand new.

    Have you gotten any updates lately? Can you tell us what build you're on (Settings, About phone)?

    app denial problem

    I cant access my settings. Its like a wierd virus maybe, but I dont have anything that would cause it!...So I couldnt check my phone build

    What I would do is perform a factory reset. You can do this from recovery. Power your phone down. Then press and hold both volume keys, while simultaneously pressing the power button. Release all 3 when "Samsung" appears and the phone should boot into recovery. If it doesn't, just power it down and try again. It can be tricky when you're first learning to do it. Once in recovery, use the volume rocker to navigate down to Factory reset, and select with the Home softkey. When it's finished, navigate back up to reboot system and select that with the Home softkey. This process is going to wipe your phone clean. You'll have to log in to Google again and redownload all of your apps. If you can get to it, make sure your contacts are sync'd with Google or they'll be gone too.

    Rooting and flashing a custom ROM is another option. We can post links for instructions if you have interest in that.
