can't press ignore button on incoming call

Ok, found a very wierd problem today. Recieved a call and tried to press ignore button and it would not take. Also tried to press quite button and it would not take. So i did some messing around and found that i am getting 2 different incoming call screens. If the phone is on my desk and the screen is off, call it from another phone i get the screen where you have to move the puzzle piece to answer the phone. It's on this screen that i cannot press ignore or quiet buttons. If i turn the screen on (screen is lit up, asking to move puzzle piece to unlock) then call it from another phone i get a totally different screen where i only have to press a green "answer" button to answer the call. NO PUZZLE PIECE to move to answer it??? The quiet and ignore buttons do work on this screen. Anyone else have this issue??

When the screen is active and you get a call, all you need to do is tap the "Answer", "Ignore" or "Quiet" icons. When the screen is dark and you get a call, you have to actually move the appropriate puzzle piece to the right spot.

I set my screen to "Glass Unlock" rather than "Puzzle Unlock" because it makes answering calls easier when the screen is dark (you just have to swipe instead of moving the stupid puzzle piece to the right spot).

I hate having to unlock my screen, once it goes to sleep, in order to hang up a call. They've made these phones so "smart" when it comes to apps/internet/tethering/etc, but forgot to improve on the small details. They spend so much time worry about putting as many features as they can into these phones they forgot we actually use our phones to make calls.

You can press the volume down button to ignore calls and you don't even have to look at the screen, wake it up or slide the puzzle. This way works best for me.

Thanks for the info Chemoman. Question: will the volume button trick work in a call waiting situation, say if you're on the phone and another call comes though?

Tried it and it works with call waiting.
As far as your screen, I don't know. My screen has locked up a couple of times to where I have to reboot. I'm still very new to the smart phone family, but it's worth a try.
