Text messages won't send?! Whattheheck?!

Hey guys, how are you? I'm fine... but (stock, unrooted) Ms. Fassy apparently isn't!

Texts won't send. And it doesn't seem to matter whether I am using WiFi or 3G.

I get this message:

Currently unable to send your message. It will be sent when the service is available.

Whattheheck???!

PS I have done a hard shut down, didn't help, and it didn't work @ work OR at home... 2 different wifi's.

go into settings/about phone/status and see what it says under network,mobile network and service state.

In SETTINGS > ABOUT PHONE > STATUS it says: (I will give you all that may be relevant, ask me if you need more)

NETWORK: Verizon Wireless
SIGNAL STRENGTH: -54 dBm
MOBILE NETWORK TYPE: CDMA - EvDo rev.A
SERVICE STATE: In service
ROAMING: Not roaming
MOBILE NETWORK STATE: Connected

Does any of this mean anything to you???!

Did you pull the battery Tisk? texts do not go based on data (so 3G or wifi do not matter). A battery pull sometimes helps in this case because the radio may be jammed up.

BFL, my BFF!!! ;o) Thank you for the reply... and... nooooooooooooooo... I didn't do a battery pull!!!! GAH! I try to always do a hard shut down -- and a battery pull -- before I bug you guys... I plead insanity??!! SO SORRY!!!

The battery is out... I'm waiting the requisite 10 minutes... will keep you posted!

Hey Muji, back'atcha!!!

Well, I did the battery pull and sent a test text to my coworker that did go and was received.

I hope the problem is solved... but I *think* it was sporadic (some texts went, some didn't...) but now I'm not 100% sure. Would that mean something different than NO texts sending at all???

If it happens again...go into your settings > applications > manage > all - find your messaging ap and clear data. You will lose all the texts you have in there...WARNING...but it may help. Also, make sure you do not have airplane mode on. lol

EDIT - No, it does it any more and you take it to verizon.

I *think* it is still NOT working right. GAH!!!

I did what (my BFF) BFL suggested and cleared the cache under MANAGE APPS. Then I did another battery pull. Then I said a prayer facing east... not reeeeeeeally!!! ;o)
