I have a samsung galaxy fascinate I wana root. I got z4root and tried rooting my phone. I routed my phone to use a app called wireless internet tethering. I tried the app but it says, phone not rooted. Can anyone help me? Can u tell me another program like z4 or directions to root a samsung galaxy fascinate i500??!! Thnks.

Check your applications for an app called superuser. If you don't have that then you are not rooted.

You can also use the SuperOneClick app to root your phone. You will need to be connected to a computer in order to use this method. Here's the official thread at XDA:

Did you root with super, Mujibar?

Now all I have to do is find a computer to do this on.... :-)

SOC has an unroot option, but that will only get rid of superuser access. You still need Odin to restore to stock.

I was looking at the compatibility list on the xda link provided and I didn't see our Fascinate included on that list for superoneclick. Will it stll work ok or will some features be disabled on our phone after rooting via this method?

Sorry.....found it... should be no problem on our model!
