Thanks everyone for the help! I'll definitely add in that auto brightness step -- very good!
Just a quick piece of info -- the Standalone GPS can be turned on via settings or from the notification bar. So the VZW and Google location services are the ones I'll leave on to see if I notice changes in battery usage. Usually it's the display (live wallpaper), but it lasts over 1 day as long as I'm not using Wi-Fi.

Just a quick update... I have not noticed any battery sink by having VZW on, but it is compounded with my auto-adjust lighting. Now with the changes cell stand-by and display compete for top battery hog.
