    Rooted and Running Powerwashed GB

I rooted my phone awhile back and after much frustration got it rooted and running Powerwashed GB. Kinda bored with the rom and want to switch to something else... coming from the original droid (which was way easier...) I am just wondering what is the best way to run a new rom? and looking for some recommendations for a good stable rom?

I recommend either THS ICS build 6.5 or AOKP build 27. Both are ICS and amazingly stable. Probably more stable than PWGB

From your current from. You "should" be able to Odin CWM4 fixes for cm7. After you Odin that you would flash build 2 of THS ics. After that fully boots. You would then, from the power menu, reboot into recovery.(3 finger recovery is broken on these roms) once your in recovery. You will want to flash either aokp or THS 6.5. Then fully boot the phone again. Once the phone is booted up. Your will want to power down Into recovery again and flash gapps built for ICS. Then fully boot the phone.

After all that is done. Your can set up the phone and enjoy your new rom.

THS is a version of CM9 but rather plain compared to other ICS roms, while AOKP is a customizable beast. Both are great in their own right. Just let me know which one sounds more your style and I will get you links.

We will begin with connecting your phone to Odin with the battery out..

Once your connected and you have a yellow com port connection. You will want to click PDA and navigate to the "CWM4" .tar file you downloaded earlier.

Once you have that file loaded, click start and let Odin do its mythical magic. Until you get a green pass box where the yellow used to be.

Now your going to place the battery back in your phone. And hold the volume +/volume -/power button. Until the Samsung logo comes up.

Once the phone boots into recovery (blue 4.x.x.x) you will want to wipe data/cache/dalvik cache(found under advanced.)

After your wipes you will want to select "install zip from sdcard" then "choose zip from sdcard."

Navigate to build 2 of TeamHacksungs ICS. Select it and install.

Once it installs select reboot device from recovery and let the phone e fully boot up. Might take 3 to 7 minutes. You will watch colored blocks appear and disappear in a wave pattern.

Once the phone is booted up. Hold the power button and select reboot. Then recovery. (Don't use the volume +/ volume -/ power button trick anymore. It causes boot loops.)

Once in recovery. You will want to wipe data/cache/dalvik cache. Then select "install zip from sdcard" then "choose zip from sdcard"

Navigate to AOKP build 27 and flash that. Then reboot the device. Again wait about 3 to 7 minutes for it to boot up. You will watch a angry pink unicorn get surrounded by rainbow andriods. Above the pink writing that says "team kang"

Once fully booted. Hold the power button and select reboot. Then recovery.

Once in recovery. Select "install zip from sdcard" then "choose zip from sdcard"

Navigate to the gapps files you downloaded and flash that. Once its flashed. Reboot the device.

Upon full boot you will be done. Flashing. Now go Into "settings/accounts" and set up your account.
