Is it possible to change the icons docked at the bottom of the screen?

I am recently coming over from being a motorola/ htc user on Verizon, to using the Galaxy S II on AT&T. on all of my previous phones I could long press on the icons docked on the bottom to change them, but now I am unable to find a way to change them. Is it possible?

    TIA

    Kevin

If you install a different launcher, like Go Launcher, Launcher Pro or ADW Launcher, it is possible to setup custom dock icons. I believe that the stock Touchwiz does not allow for any customization.

Not 100% sure on SGS2 but on most touchwiz launchers hit the app icon in dock> edit>customizable grids> edit> drag and drop icons of choice to dock area>save.

This. The only one you can't replace is the appdrawer.

My experience with ADW launcher is that since replacing things is mostly drag and drop, if you're not careful and drop an app on top of the appdrawer icon you lose the ability to open the app drawer, because the icon replaces the button to access the app drawer. But that's just with ADW - and I'm careful now.

If that happens, you can always long press on the homescreen to get launcher actions. You can get "open/close app drawer" from there.

Or set a soft key to open a app drawer instead of a app icon. I set my home button to open my app drawer.

GoLauncher lets you customize the dock icons. Its also scrollable with up to 3 sets of icons.

I do not think you need any new launcher to change the dock icons. Follow these steps and you will be able to configure your choice of icons in dock tray but you will not be able to move "applications" icon.

    1. Make sure that you are on home screen.
    2. Click "Applications" icon on your home screen dock icons section.
    3. Now click "Edit" and you will see a screen where you can edit the dock icons.

I customized my dock icons and made it limited to only 3 and 2 are of my choice and 1 is applications
