Galaxy S2 not connecting to network / Avast problem

Hi everyone. I have a Galaxy S2 (surprise surprise) and I have had Avast Anti Virus on it. This evening I took out my sim card and put in another sim to try out somthing else. However once i did this both my parents got texts saying that the sim in my phone has been changed and they received the GPS location of my phone. I went to put in my origional sim card and now its not recognising it. I have gone through all the Avast stuff trying to send commands to my phone from one of my parents phones and nothing seems to be working. I have a little SIM card symbol appearing at the top of the task bar on the Galaxy S2 screen and when I pull down on it nothing is showing up in the notifications just the symbol above.. I cant for the life of me figure out what to do.

Has anyone had a similar situation here? I would really appreciate any help or guidance.

Quick question. Why do you use an anti virus on your phone. Lol if you are rooted and running mods/roms I can understand.
